Success stories
Jess's journey with McNab began through a work experience placement, where she quickly realised it was the right place to start her carpentry career. Drawn to the supportive culture, respectful team and opportunities to learn from experienced tradespeople, she started her apprenticeship in 2021. Today, Jess is a qualified tradesperson and continues to build her career with McNab.
“At the beginning, I was anxious about being a female Carpentry Apprentice. However, at McNab, they treat everyone equally, no matter their gender.”
Reece joined McNab in 2023 as a Construction Cadet while balancing university studies and an elite athletics career. As he qualified for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, McNab adapted his role and supported his training schedule, giving him the flexibility to pursue his sporting goals without putting his construction career on hold.
Today, Reece continues to grow with McNab, proving that with the right support, you don't have to choose between your passions and your profession.
“They truly want to help you grow. Everyone takes the time to help you understand things and develop your skills.”
