Anglicare Symes Grove is Anglicare’s first greenfield facility in more than 10 years, with McNab selected to deliver the design and construction of the project.
This residential aged care facility accommodates 105 new rooms supported by four nursing stations, with communal areas including a dining room, function rooms, laundry, commercial kitchen, café and administration areas. The project also includes a specialised 'cottage care' dementia wing which has been designed to encourage the residents to feel like they are living in a terraced townhouse.
The extensive contemplative courtyards, hardscape area, sensory garden and sensory green walls have been designed to be an important part of patients' occupational therapy.
