About

Located within the LOGOS Gold Coast Logistics Hub at Arundel, the 15,087m² facility incorporates a high-clearance warehouse, office and staff amenities, surrounding hardstand and super awning, providing Australia Post with a purpose-designed environment to support its next phase of growth. Completed three months ahead of schedule, the project reflects McNab’s ability to deliver complex logistics facilities while working collaboratively with clients, consultants and specialist technology partners.

A key focus throughout design and construction was the integration of Beumer Group’s state-of-the-art automated parcel handling system. With the technology critical to the facility’s operation, McNab worked closely with Beumer Group to coordinate power requirements, slab tolerances, structural interfaces and other infrastructure provisions, ensuring the automated sorting system could be installed and operate seamlessly within the completed building. This collaborative approach enabled the building and its technology to be considered as one integrated solution, rather than separate components.

Designed for continuous operation 24 hours, 6 days a week, the facility also prioritises the experience and safety of its workforce through quality staff amenities, well-lit car parking and secure site fencing. Sustainability was embedded throughout the design, with the facility achieving a 5 Star Green Star accreditation through initiatives including rainwater harvesting, a 99kW solar system, energy monitoring via a Building Management System, low-emission vehicle infrastructure and the use of low-VOC materials.

The project demonstrates McNab’s capability to deliver the next generation of logistics infrastructure, partnering with clients and technology specialists to create facilities that are ready for the evolving demands of modern distribution.
