Burke & Wills Hotel Refurbishment

Originally built in 1957, the hotel was designed by influential modernist Dr Karl Lager, who popularised the post-war international style across southeast Queensland.

Maintaining the hotel's old school character was a top priority. We undertook a complete internal and external redevelopment of the seven-storey venue which included all suites, function rooms and the bistro, in addition to building a new gaming room and double level foyer.

Today, the new and improved hotel offers 82 elegant rooms – 69 four-and-a-half-star rooms and 13 five-star suites – all with contemporary décor and modern finishes, as well as two restaurants, a bar, five multi-purpose function rooms and a variety of other features and facilities.
