Shine Birtinya Retirement Village

The project achieved a 4-Star Green Star Rating through the use of sustainable materials, the use of recycled material content, the design of rooms to minimise reverberation, and lighting comfort achieved by selecting fittings designed to reduce glare and provide users with easy control. We chose to use particular paint and wood products to reduce indoor pollutants and VOC compounds.

Additionally, the thermal comfort and energy consumption were achieved one point higher than required by the building code. We worked out of hours to accommodate the needs of the Stockland sales team on site, and staged delivery to allow early possession of the apartments before the clubhouse facilities were due for completion.
